Alfred Arnold AA 142 tone bandoneon dated 1935. Zinc reed plates, hand made reeds, octave tuning. Full mother of pearl inlay, original bellows.

My favorite wreck. The instrument has had a turbulent past, sadly ending in a very damp and warm attic in Spain where it was stored for decades. Due to this, most of the glued connections in the inside of the instrument have come loose. All original parts are still there and will be restored.

Body, mechanics, reed plates, valves and buttons will be fully cleaned and restored.

Will be delivered with new tuning, at 442 Hz.

See here for more pictures.

Alfred Arnold   so called bourdon-bandoneon. In the right hand an extra lower octave is added to the existing normal octave, thus enabeling it to play the role of violoncello in a bandoneon orchestra. The lower octave is now muted, but can effortlessly be added again. The instrument now sounds like a 'normal' AA bandoneon.

Originally 128 tone, now extended to 142 tone, octave tuning, aluminum reed plates.

Body, mechanics, reed plates, valves and buttons have been fully cleaned and restored.

Will be delivered with new tuning, at 442 Hz.

Sold on clients' request

Bandoneon, possibly Alfred Arnold; 104 tone instrument. Zinc reed plates, octave tuning. Original bellows with full german silver linings. It has an Alfred Arnold mark on the inside, but the sawing pattern in the body suggests otherwise. The sound is as to be expected from Alfred Arnold though..
